About our Toys and Products

What age group do you recommend?

Our toys are made for children 3+ , of course there is no limit to how old you can be to play!

Always supervise your child while playing with our toys. Some pieces, such as the Little Treasures and Hoops & Buttons are small and could be a choking hazard. 

Why do my toys only stack one way?

Many of our stackers are cut from a single piece of wood which makes them unique. The stackers are meant to be fitted in only one direction. This helps children's fine motor and problem solving skills. 

Why are the boards and semi-circles bigger than the rainbow pieces?

Rainbow planks and semi-circles may be a bit larger than the rainbow stacker. When planks and semi-circles are larger, buildings become more stable. This allows even the youngest of builders to feel successful! 

My product has markings on it...

Our products are all created with wood which is a natural material. This means that different markings and variations of color will show up differently on each product - making them unique! It is normal for some of the color to wear onto other pieces.

My Toys feel rough...

Wood is a natural material that will always have some texture. If you want a smooth toy this isn’t for you. Our toys are purposely a bit rougher to add sensory experiences to tiny hands. As your child plays with the toys the wood will become smoother over time. The texture of the toys also makes it easier to stack and build with as it is not slippery like other materials or finishes. 

Colors Rubbing off on other pieces and bases

The dye on our toys is not sealed as it stacks better and helps keep that wooden texture that we love! Sometimes, as a result of this colors from other pieces may transfer to another over time. This is normal and adds to the character and story your toys tell!

How Do I Clean my Toys?

Wipe down any toys with a damp cloth as needed. It is not recommended to frequently wipe down the toys as this may cause some of the color to run. Please also allow your toys to dry at room temperature. Never submerge your toys in water or use hot water. 

If you would like to protect your Little Island Learning Toys from germs and bacteria we recommend using RAZE wood spray on your toys before your children play with them. Find out more about RAZE here

Wear and Tear Over Time

As your toys are played with over and over again marks, dents, and other wear and tear tell a story of how well loved they are! 

Breakage and Repair

Like playing with any toy, accidents are bound to happen. Our toys are not indestructible and any rough play could result in faster wear and tear or breakage. If something should break it can be repaired with wood glue. We also provide a Little Island Learning Get Well Kit free of charge. Please contact us for more information. 

We are not responsible for any damages or breakages that occur during play. For manufacturing faults please contact us. 

Product Safety & Certifications

Our toys are certified with EN71 and ASTM F963. Both of which are industry standards for toy safety.  

What does FSC Stand for and why is it important?

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a globally recognized organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. 

In an ever changing world it is important to us that we continue to work as sustainably as possible and provide products that All of our suppliers are currently certified by the FSC.

Shipping & Returns

Processing Orders

We will process orders within 3-5 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. We will be in touch with you once your order is ready to arrange delivery or pick up. 

Shipping

We are currently only offering delivery or pick-up on Hong Kong Island. Outlying Islands, New Territories, and Kowloon can contact us for delivery and pick-up options. 

Checking Products Upon Receipt

Please check all products upon receipt. For any defects or concerns please contact us at littleislandlearning@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving items. 

Returns

Change your mind? Our products can be returned at the buyers expense within 7 days of receiving items in original packaging otherwise we are unable to accept your return.
